As a Software Engineer at Caterpillar, your primary responsibilities will include:

   - Create and maintain Python-based automation scripts for provisioning and managing cloud resources.  

2. **Cloud Integration:**  

   - Integrate automation solutions with AWS or Azure services to streamline operations.  

3. **Testing and Monitoring:**  

   - Develop and execute automated test plans for cloud-based applications.  

   - Monitor automation processes and resolve any operational issues.  

4. **Optimization and Documentation:**  

   - Continuously optimize cloud automation workflows to enhance efficiency.  

   - Document automation processes and provide necessary training to team members.  

5. **Staying Updated:**  

   - Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and best practices to improve processes.

### **Basic Qualifications**  

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:  

- Proven experience in developing automation scripts using Python.  

- Strong understanding of SQL and experience in writing complex queries.  

- Familiarity with **AWS Operations**, including services like CloudFormation, Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, Athena, RDS, DynamoDB, and Cost Management tools.  

- Hands-on experience with **CI/CD pipelines** and version control systems.  

- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.  

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

### **Additional Skills (Preferred):**  

Candidates with the following skills and certifications will have an added advantage:  

- AWS Certifications related to Architecture or Development.  

- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment and using Agile methodologies.  

- Familiarity with **Business Intelligence (BI) tools** to analyze data.  

- Operational experience with additional cloud service providers like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.  

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
